In one of our previous articles, we gave you a few examples on how you can use old windows to give them a new look and a new dynamic in your house.
And remember that indoors is not the only place where you can give them a new dynamic, but outdoors as well. However, we won’t get into that subject in this article, but instead show you how clever old windows and doors were used in a bistro in Bucharest, Romania.
If from outside Bon bistro looks just like a regular French bistro, on the inside, as soon as you enter, you’re in for a surprise. You won’t see bare walls, because every inch of them will be covered with a lot of doors (be them interior doors or front doors). Some look new, some look old, but all of them work brilliantly to create a really original interior.
There are more than 200 salvaged doors, windows and shutters that decorate the walls of the Bon bistro along with a very nice and neat wine room enclosed in a frame made up of French doors and windows. Besides this wine room, bottles of wine are displayed around the bistro in old window frames and lit up so that they stand out.
Even the booths are separated by salvaged doors, and to complete the design, chairs are just as varied in size, colour and model as the doors on the walls.
So here’s an idea of what you can do with windows and doors that you don’t need anymore!
